This Privacy Policy describes what information UFO Blaster collects, how it is used, and how it is stored. UFO Blaster is designed to be lightweight on data — you can play without creating an account.
UFO Blaster is operated by the individual behind askshiba.com (referred to as "we," "us," or "the operator"). This is a personal indie project, not a corporation. Contact: use the in-game feedback button.
| Data | When collected | Stored where |
|---|---|---|
| Pilot callsign | When you choose to register; callsign is randomly generated by the game — you are not asked to provide a name | Cloudflare D1 database (server-side) |
| Access token | Randomly generated at registration; stored in your browser and in the database | Your browser (localStorage) and Cloudflare D1 |
| Feedback text | When you submit in-game feedback | Cloudflare D1 database (server-side) |
We do not collect email addresses, real names, or any other personally identifying information. Callsigns are randomly assigned strings with no link to your real identity.
The following data is stored in your browser's localStorage and never sent to our servers unless you register a callsign:
You can clear this data at any time by clearing your browser's site data for ufo.askshiba.com.
If you play with a registered callsign, the following are saved server-side after each game:
Cloudflare may log standard infrastructure data such as IP addresses, request timestamps, and error codes as part of normal service operation. We do not have direct access to or control over these logs. See Cloudflare's Privacy Policy for details.
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties, except:
UFO Blaster is designed to be fully anonymous. Callsigns are randomly generated by the game — you do not provide a name, email, or any identifying information. Your access token is stored only in your browser and never linked to your identity.
Because we have no way to verify who any callsign belongs to, we cannot fulfill requests to access, correct, or delete data associated with a specific account on request — we have no basis to confirm ownership. If you wish to delete your callsign and scores, use the Delete Account option in the in-game Settings, which requires your access token to authenticate the action.
We do not sell, rent, or trade any information. Since no personal data is collected, GDPR, CCPA, and similar privacy frameworks have limited applicability to this service. However, if you have concerns, you may reach us via the in-game feedback button.
UFO Blaster is a general-audience game open to players of all ages. We encourage parents and guardians to be aware of their children's use of the service. Children under 13 should use the game with a parent's knowledge and permission.
The game is designed to be played without submitting any personal data — guest mode requires no name, email, or account of any kind. If a child under 13 has submitted personal information (such as an email address via feedback or callsign registration), a parent or guardian may contact us via the in-game feedback form to request deletion of that information.
We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13 without parental awareness, and we do not use any such data for advertising or profiling.
UFO Blaster does not use advertising cookies or third-party tracking scripts. We use:
Cloudflare may set a __cf_bm cookie for bot protection purposes. This is a security measure, not a tracking cookie.
All traffic is encrypted via HTTPS. Access tokens are randomly generated cryptographically and stored in your browser — they are the sole means of account authentication. We do not store passwords, email addresses, or any personally identifying information. The feedback admin endpoint is protected by an access key.
No system is perfectly secure. We cannot guarantee that data will never be subject to a breach, but we take reasonable precautions for a service of this scale. Because no personal information (name, email, address) is collected, a data breach would expose only callsigns, scores, and access tokens — none of which are linked to your real identity. In the event of a breach, we will post a notice on this website.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will update the effective date at the top of this page when we do. For a service of this scale, we will not send individual notifications of changes.
For privacy questions or data requests, use the in-game 💬 Feedback button and include "Privacy Request" in your message. You can also reach us via askshiba.com.
This policy is provided in good faith for a free indie game. It does not constitute legal advice. If you have specific legal concerns, consult a qualified attorney.
